Val d'Isere

20th February 2009 ..... We had a great week skiing in the French Alps.  Loads of snow and some unexpected fine weather.  Kids earned their Medaille d'Or for their efforts which included skiing down the World Championship piste with their instructor (the World Championship Skiing competition finished a couple of days after we arrived).  A piste that their parents decided not to ski down because it was too steep and too icy (and needless to say, too scary)!

We enjoyed spectacular views day after day in the fine weather and even managed to ski in a bit of powder when it snowed overnight.

  1. Hi Craig et al: glad to see that you have not been wasting any time! I hope all the work with the French langauge has been apying off?

Brilliant photos. Do you mind if I use some of the Bordeaux and Loire valley ones for my Year 6 and 8 students' 'Holidays in France' unit? I promise not to use any with recognisable faces: just the views. They really are excellent! I won't unless you are happy for me to do it!

    All the best
