Back to Bordeaux 2010

It seems strange to be back here so soon - feels like we have just had a holiday away. So lovely to be back in a place that we are so familiar with. I always think it's great to go to new locations, but there is something very reassuring about going back to a place you know and love.

We were all so excited catching the train into Bordeaux - seeing la Fleche (The St Michel bell tower) again and remembering leaving just over 12 months ago with tears in our eyes.

The only thing we are a little sad about is that we were unable to stay in La Terrasse where we stayed for six months. However, our new location near Pey Berland was a great with the apartment being in a hôtel particulair - originally a private mansion. Close to everything including some of the best shopping areas in Bordeaux. It seemed only a short stroll to almost anywhere and we were still within walking distance to "our neighbourhood" at St Michel and our favoured markets.
